DRIVEN + VIDEO: Jay Leno Takes The
At the 2013 New York Auto Show, Chevrolet showed off the all-new Z/28 and I have to say, I was taken. Though I am not a huge Camaro fan, I have to say that this race-inspired variant has my attention.

Not to mention it is sporting the 7.0-liter V8 — LS7 — found in the Corvette Z06.

As you'll soon find out, the Z/28 is about 100 pounds lighter than the SS and boasts more power, and the Z/28 is 300 pounds lighter than the ZL1 AND boasts all-new technology from the Aston Martin One-77. With only around 1,500 to be produced annually, it won't be a common find.

If I had to pick, I'd easily say that for 2014 that the Z/28 is the Camaro you want. The ZL1 now firmly sits in second place. It's funny because to me, it's much like the dilemma between the Corvette Z06 and ZR1 — give me the Z06 any day of the week.

Nimble, incredibly powerful and ready to rip up the track, the long-awaited Z28 is at the garage, and Jay is the first person outside GM to give it a test drive!
