STUD OR DUD? Porsche Macan To Debut Spring Of 2014 At Under $70,000
The Porsche Macan SUV is about to burst the Range Rover Evoque bubble – and Auto Express has exclusive images and fresh details about how the sporty off-roader is shaping up.

The front end is inspired by the Cayenne, but at the rear we’re expecting a set of thin lights like those on the
latest 911. The final car will also wear Macan badging that will sit on the bootlid. It will be officially revealed at November’s Los Angeles Motor Show, before a spring 2014 release date, and will be produced at an enlarged factory in Leipzig, Germany.

Porsche should have developed the 5 series and E Class competitor instead.

I hope they build the Pajun - Panamera Junior.
Merc, BMW and Audi are long in the tooth; and the Japs ain't even in the same league besides maybe the Lexus GS which is OK. Maserati Ghibli and Jaguar XF scare me with maintenance and reliability, typical Italian and English heart-over-head builds.
The Porsche would be so perfect!

IT'S A Q5! You say Excalade I say tarted up Tahoe, that's how I feel about the Facan.

Porsche use to be a sports car company, now it's just a Volkswagen brand thats sells some sports cars.

A dud to one is a delight to another. I've already given the local dealership my deposit to purchase one of the first of their allotment.

Be ye faithful to the Porsche shield but be aware that the Cayenne and now (probably even more so) the Macan is bringing in the much need funds to allow Porsche to proceed with their research and development of better and better sports cars. Let's never forget the bills must be paid even by Porsche.

If the base Cayenne starts at around $50k, I would hope the Macan starts under $70k. Should be more like mid 40s or who would buy.

The Macanese needs to start at 39,995 then it could compete but at 70 kit already out prices the cayenne . But it has a smaller engine.

According to the article and the current U.S./U.K. exchange rate, it starts at $53K. How does that equate to $70K? The headlights and grill look a little screwy, and by the time you option it up, you'd be better off buying an SQ5, which is likely an equal performer.
