I don't think the styling is bad, it isn't good but it is optimized for fuel efficiency (low Cd) so it is ok.

No Will, you WANT the 5-series to resemble the Aztek, but in reality it does not, in any regard.

The Prius, on the other hand, has an ungainly and awkwardly sloping back, much like the Aztek.

Well it's easier for me to ignore the BMW/Pontiac comparison because I'm not a staunch BMW fan.

Actually, they didn't interest me at all until their designs started becoming more dynamic.

And the Camry is bland. So is the FJ Cruiser. It may be retro, which makes it mildly interesting for a short while, and therefore not boring, but it's really just a normal, bloated looking SUV with a 60's Land Cruiser nose grafted on the front.

Sounds like a lot. They only have four models, mind you, not including the variants within those models (SportCombi, Convertible etc.)

Although SAAB have said 'never again' to patchy rebadging exercises, so expect to see more 'true' SAABs, albeit with 'borrowed' platforms.

Hope the new 9-5 is more SAAB/Opel than SAAB/Holden.

The Prius doesn't strike me as a "touring car". It's more of a car designed for the city.

I suppose Toyota plans to make the Prius appeal to a wider audience with the "Touring" stuff. It gives the impression that the car is an "all-rounder". Smart marketing. Successful? We'll see.

Only stupid people will buy the Prius.
Good for the environment? pzero or ulev will do the same.
Save gas? Save money? Yeah right, you fork out $10k in advance.

wow.......I didn't realize the Aztek comment would spark such outrage! Will......if you think the 5 series looks anything close to an Aztek that is just absurd. Bottom line to this post is that the Prius is butt ugly. Can anybody not agree with that? :)

How can a car tour with less than 100 horsepower. It wouldn't make it over a small hill.
