Nissan “R-HYBRID” Emblem Really Looks Like It’s For the GT-R

The idea of a Nissan GT-R Hybrid is not new but the Japanese manufacturer didn’t reveal any plans for such a car. Until now, when Caranddriver found a recent Nissan trademark application for the R-Hybrid emblem. As you can see, the font used for the R-Hybrid is the same used for the GT-R logo.

I think the media may be reaching for this one - and this rumor has wildfired. Yes it very well could be for the next GT-R and rumors abound that it is supposed to be a hybrid; this emblem could also be for a benign sports version of a Sentra, Altima, Maxima, or more likely Juke.
