Left For Dead?  Scion Has No New Models For The Near Future
Bob Carter, a top U.S. Toyota executive said no fresh models are set in the immediate future to rejuvenate the ailing youth-oriented Scion brand.

Carter, the senior vice president of Toyota Motor Sales USA said that while the company’s main Toyota brand is rolling out fresh products this year, the 1,000 U.S. Toyota dealers that also handle Scion will have to wait longer.

“We have a very robust and very exciting product cadence coming for Scion, however, it’s further down the pipeline,” Carter told Reuters in an interview on Thursday.

They don't sell anything practical. Toyota is afraid if they gave Scion a car people wanted to buy (outside of niches), it would cannibalize Toyota sales.

It's amazing how Toyota has blown it with Scion, then talk about it in such a strange way as if it was still relevant.

Oh and could someone please tell me what a "very robust and very exciting product cadence" is. My BS detector is in the shop.

With FR-S and TC, seems to be doing fine new model-wise. Never was to be a full lineup brand, being co-located in Toyota. Higher sales will have to wait for derivatives of new Corolla and upcoming Yaris.
