FRANKFURT MOTOR SHOW: Audi's A3 Convertible LEAKED!
As we near towards the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA), it's clear that more and more is being unveiled one car at a time. Some have been official drops from the automakers themselves but this one appears to be an actual leak.
It's a tough call as the photos are not high resolution; however, I will admit that it looks pretty real. And A3 convertible is not completely off the table either so I think it's pretty safe to say this is a legit leak.
Keep checking back for the latest breaking news right here on AutoSpies.com!

The world premiere of the new Audi A3 Cabriolet will be tomorrow evening on Saturday, Sept 7 at 6PM Eastern Standard Time on Audi Media TV.

In the meantime, Car and Driver mag on Audi S3 Cabriolet Spy Photos seen in January:
"Based on the third generation of the Audi A3, the next A3 convertible will be aimed squarely at the U.S. market for the first time. Audi’s American dream is why the new ragtop will be based on the upcoming A3 sedan, with its longer wheelbase and classic proportions, rather than on the A3 hatchback, as is the current A3 cabriolet.
Our spy shots depict a stylish, slim, two-door convertible, complete with a purist-preferred softtop rather than the ever-more-popular folding hardtop. This being the high-performance S3 version, it comes with quad exhaust outlets, and visible below the camouflage are S3-specific front air intakes...
Why It Matters:The A3 cabriolet will give Audi a market advantage over its premium competition. There's nothing on the market quite like it: Mercedes-Benz has not formally decided yet on a CLA-based convertible, and the BMW 1-series and upcoming 2-series cabriolet are compact and on the verge of impracticality. There is no immediate competition from Cadillac, Infiniti, or Lexus, either. Considering its unique market position, this convertible will help Audi reach its ambitious sales targets in the U.S...
Competition: BMW 1-series convertible, BMW 4-series convertible, Mercedes C-Class convertible, Lexus IS convertible, etc.
Estimated Arrival and Price: The Audi A3 and S3 convertibles likely will be launched in 2014 as 2015 models. Entry-level pricing will keep a healthy distance between itself and the A5 cabriolet, which starts at $44,245. Figure on a base price in the low-$30,000 range for the A3 cabrio, with the fully equipped S3 cab approaching $50K."

Satriani.
Chill with the links to other publications.
If you have something to say submit it via the red button in the top left-hand corner.
Last warning.

OOR: Chill with your defensive comments. Over 2,200 people read this blog yet so far only 2 people (probably including you) deboosted my comment.
What I posted was very relevant to this blog, as German Nut pointed out. Not only do I support my opinions with facts where possible, I often provide additional information which complements the blog article. This is useful since you failed to provide the basic information that I provided in my post -- such as when the world premiere of the A3 cab was to happen. All you did was post relatively pointless low-res photos of the A3 cab that had been floating on the internet for almost a day, with no supporting info.
You should thank me. Ever since I started posting links to German publications, you have begun to blog articles and pictures linked to the same German car mags.
You seem to be the most anti-Audi and most pro-BMW biased of the main authors. Why is that? I've caught you several times publishing the worst articles on an Audi product instead of the majority of positive articles on the same product that have been around for weeks. Several times you've left out the best pictures on an Audi product.
When I posted obviously clearer pictures of the Volvo you became defensive that I posted clearer pics than your dull pics (instead of making the effort to learn what Autobild did in order to improve the clarity of your same pics).
Be warned yourself: there are many other sites that rival Autospies and compete for your readers -- you would not want me to give my indepth assessment of you and more on those sites.

Satriani.
You're a complete fool. I've been posting images/news from global pubs for the whole time I've been here. It definitely hasn't been since you reared your ugly head.
Additionally, I speak the truth how I see the auto space. Unlike you I will NOT get knee pads out for the likes of specific automakers.
You, on the other hand, just simply spew out any pro Audi commentary wherever you can link to it.
Last point: I know you're definitely a certified blockhead because the images of the Volvo were sourced DIRECTLY from Volvo!

Wasn't the 1-series convertible out before the A3 convertible? I think so.
So yes, there is something else exactly the same as this and it was the car that this followed. The interior space between the 1-series and the previous A3 convertible is almost identical.
And this little girl's car competing against the 4-series is a joke, you're more than a little uninformed and uneducated about cars if you really think that, which no one actually believes you do.

00R, what is the problem with Satriani1 posting links to other publications? It proves his point and backs up his claims with factual information
