FRANKFURT MOTOR SHOW: If You Thought BMW's 435i Coupe M Performance Is Sharp On The Outside, Check Out The Inside
So if you thought the 435i Coupe was an Autobahn burner on the outside, you simply need to look at it from the inside as well.  After all if you are clocking speeds well in excess of 100 MPH on a regular basis, you need a command center that is more like a jet fighter than a luxury barge.

At those speeds you can leave little to chance and you need to be in control and informed at all times.  This time  BMW has pulled out all of the stops, and on the inside, you can tell this is a purpose built machine where driving is the primary focus.   From those ultra-supportive seats to the digital readout on the steering wheel every detail is taken into account.

Now compare this interior to competition and you feel like you are already  in command while sitting in the parking lot.

Welcome to 2001. Dated and boring.

yes, just what our already-distracted-with-cell-phones-and-nav-systems society needs, another digital distraction on the steering wheel. not much special going on here, move on.

Same interior since 2005. Same Gauges since 1972. Seriously... What's so special about that interior?

Why would BMW show it in black? Can't see any of the nuances. Dumb move.

The addition of carbon fiber and alcantara trim is very nice but overall this look with the existing dashboard design is far too busy. With or without the glitzy trim, this is most certainly not the same dashboard/interior from similar 2005 M coupes as an earlier commenter wrote. Anyone with a sense of attention to detail can see that easily. Straightfoward analog gauges are the best and will continue to be. No need for distracting and gimmicky displays in what is supposed to be a car for enthusiasts.

Last point about whatever that is on top of the steering wheel. It looks tacky and screwed on. Possibly, whatever info it provides can be moved to the head-up display?
