SEMA SHOW: Lexus Debuting S 250 F SPORT All-Metal Widebody Prototype

The annual SEMA Show in Las Vegas is the mecca of the aftermarket autotmotive world. As Lexus enthusiasts, we eagerly await the newest and latest Lexus projects featured at the show. With the launch of the 2014 IS earlier this year, we expect to see many IS projects at this year's show including this deep pearly orange IS 250 F SPORT All-Metal Widebody Prototype.

This IS F SPORT is being crafted by EST Styling and will be the first new IS in the world to feature a widebody kit composed entirely of sheet metal. Although we do not know the official color of this widebody IS, but it will feature a vibrant Glasurit waterborne paint scheme by BASF. This Lexus will also be properly stanced with an Air Runner Systems air suspension and a classic set of Work Emotion CR-Kai wrapped in Dunlop rubber. A set of Rotora big brakes will fill in the wheel centers nicely.

Seriously though, the new IS is a vast improvement over the preceding iteration, with one glaring weakness. The comparatively anemic engine in the IS 250. The application of the spindle grill varies between Lexus models. I think it suits the IS series fine. But this "special" version looks like a big mustache which is not flattering at all.
