Great another one that has to be redlined at 9000rpm just to get moving, an absolute thrill in traffic.

Honda built the S2000 for over 10 years. What's to study? If they don't know everything about it by now, they never will.

The last S2000 was a joke. Four cylinder Camrys were faster off the line. It was expensive and had a 4 cylinder engine that you had to rev the holy crap out of to make it fast when Honda could have put a sweet V6 in it. The S2000 like the NSX got old and doddering. The S2000 needs to be reborn as an Acura and without the hybrid BS that Honda will as its next excuse why the NSX does not measure up to a Corvette or a Ferrari. Sports cars need horsepower not Prius drivetrains.

Honda is the next Mitsubishi. Hyundai/Kia is the new Honda.

Sorry Mattdarringer, with all due respect--S2000 was one of the best drivers' cars of the era. Note that values are such that you can't buy one for reasonable money anywhere.
V6's are for minivans. Sports cars should be involving and engaging. The S2000 is awesome in that respect.

Matt is right, you had to rev the hell out of the car to make it perform. Maxda owns the market with small sporty convertibles with the Miata. Honda should go that route with a small, light, sporty little convertible that doesn't break the bank, but has the looks, light weight, and quickness to compete with Mazda.

HONDA is simply clueless. You only need to look at positioning of TSX, TL, and whatever that I cannot even remember the naming of cars, and you can reach the conclusion. This designer wouldn't have any influence of what product HONDA will be offered, as it'll be decided by boards of old man. And you think they'll drive an RWD?

BTW the era of 9000 rpm is over, at least for cars. If you like revving, get a bike, much more satisfying.

When Acura first came on the scene, they had the Legend which was a great car in it's day. Had the driving dynamics, nice looks for the times, nice interior, quality, etc. Acura then had a brand that was catching on and people liked it. Then the NSX came and the brand's prestige factor went up again. Even the Vigor was popular against the Accord. Then it all went downhill. They dropped the Legend and came out with the generic R. What a POS boring car. They have the Civic based little car now, the ugly new R Class car, ugly beaks everywhere, no more double-wishbone suspensions, and on and on. This brand is going the way of Mitsubishi if it doesn't get it's act together fast.
