What The Heck Is Going On With Scion? No New Models For At Least Three MORE Years!
Scion enthusiasts hoping to buy something new and completely different from the brand in the near future likely will be disappointed. Scion's redesigned and replacement models are at least three years away, possibility arriving for the 2017 model year.

With the exception of the sporty, low-volume FR-S and the slow-selling iQ, "we are basically selling the same vehicles that we were selling four years ago, and we are going to be selling basically the same vehicles for the next couple of years," Toyota's Paul Holdrige told Edmunds.

Holdrige, who is vice president of sales for the Toyota Division, Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc., said the recession and damage caused by the 2011 tsunami in Japan were two of several factors that prompted Toyota to delay new products for the Scion brand.

I can't think of a better death kiss for a brand than to just let them die on the vine. Scion is becoming Toyota's Pontiac.

Time to kill this stupid brand. The FRS needs a Toyota engine, a reskin, and to be called a Celica....Prius should be a brand.

in this economy, i'd be leery of that demographic. That generation is driving less and less and most of them that could afford that car before will now be forced to buy health insurance or so we are told. Just seems like a shrinking market in terms of buying power.

Time frame sounds right for vehicles based on the TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture). Should be a hockey stick for Scion.
