AWD probably hurt the Charger's performance(weight penalty) while definitely benefiting the Ford.

It would be interesting to know the temperature of the air at the time the test was conducted. Colder air would give the Ford a better power advantage compared to the naturally aspirated V8s in the Dodge and Chevy.
