2014 DETROIT AUTO SHOW- First Official Images Of Next Generation Hyundai Genesis Released! STUD Or DUD?
The 2014 Detroit Auto Show is still months away but that didn't stop Hyundai from releasing these images of their next generation Genesis set to debut there.

They teased everyone with the super cool HCD-14 Concept so how impressed are you with the official car?

Did they keep the concept true or did they do what all the others do which is tease something amazing and launch something only good?

We've added shots of the concept car below for comparison.

What say you Spies? STUD or DUD?

Very nice looking car except for the grill.

I like it....the grill is a bit jarring - it's very vertical where the rest of the car is very flowing....

Why is there a Hyundai grill on the A7?

The first two images are the real car if you could read

I like it. But those 2 images do look a bit more like renderings than photos.

Apparently they don't read, 001. It's a generation of people who only look at pictures.

Same story, looks good because someone else already did it.

Looks like an Infiniti rear-ended an Audi A6 while it was tag-teaming an A7.

Greenhouses: Fusion, Audi A7, 2014 Impala, 2005 Infinti M, 2009 LaCross, 2014 Avalon, 2013 Altima, 2013 Sentra, but only the 2nd generation Genesis would be the problem because it's Korean allowing the 2014 Accord to get away from ripping the Genesis' rear end.

What we need to know is what kind of discounting and incentives is the Korean government preparing to lure us dumb whiteys to abandon Ford.

Hyundai still can't settle on a look for the Super-Lux brand, this one looks nothing like the last Genesis. I suppose this is what happens when all you do is "borrow" other people's designs.

Ignroing that all GM and Ford's engineers ain't of one race neither. But since Ford and GM ain't Korean they can get away with it.

Chrysler, Ford, Audi, Bentley to name a few, can't these guys ever do something original even in their concept stuff?

Ignoring the Fusion ripped off bently too but since Ford ain't Korean it can get away with it.

I "love" the anti-Korean automotive bigotry not to mention the outright racist statements. The fact is that the car is sublime. Peter Schreyer is at the helm, so they aren't borrowing squat. This is what Audis would look like if he were still at the helm rather than the busy features they grafted on after he left. The last Genesis consistently met its targets and sold a lot better than anyone imagined. This could double sales. The one thing that is definitely true is that the Genesis has reliability like Lexus and Cadillac rather than the spotty reliability of the Germans that require warranty visits at a much higher rate.

It's easy to meet targets when you set them low.

Mr. Whitey isn't just reusing his designs, he's stealing them from the Japanese too so maybe it's Korea rubbing off oh him.

The Koreans had to hire a white guy to design their cars for them, and even then, he just reused his old designs but the Korean governmenet is paying him 20x what VAG was paying.

Perhaps if the Koreans stopped stealing and pretending they're so great, they might get some respect by people who care about more than saving a dollar.

Ssangyong practically dead.
All Korean cars older than 6 years. All designed by Koreans and ass-ugly. First good looking Sonata was a clone of the Honda Accord.

Any questions?

Enzo designed by a Jap. Just goes to show the Koreans are only good at copying.

Also, the Mini coupe was designed by a Chinese guy (probably an American) and its design theme was a cyclists helmet, not some random hodge-podge of what currently looks good.

Goes back to my point, Koreans are good at copying. The only thing they can't copy is being white no matter how hard they try.

Ignoring that Toyota, GM, Jeep's engineers ain't all one race neither. Especially the german engineered Lacross. Speaking of copying. Buick Regal and Volvo S60 hint greenhouses.

And all those companies have their own unique design themes, even the Japanese who used to copy. The Koreans, even with a white guy at the helm, can't come up with their own design or style.

Ignoring that the new GS ripped off the Genesis backend. Also ignroing that the Lexus Grille is the 2007 Kia Kee's grille turned sideways. And ignorng the Impala Eco ripped off Kia's signature grille.

You mean the back end the Genesis stoll off of the Infiniti G sedan?
The Impala Eco is 1 trim level of car, the actual Impala looks more like a 4 door Camaro, not junk Kia. The grill is also argued to be more akin to the Chevy bowtie than some animal the Koreans want to associate themselves with for virility or whatnot.

But, you do know Mr. Whitey designed the tiger nose grille right? It wasn't a Korean original, no such thing exists.

Please show me a picture of what Kee you're talking about, the Lexus GS looks nothing like the Kia Kee concept.

We can play the "Who did the Koreans copy" game all day, just let me know when you want to start.

I thought it stupid when KIA first hired the Audi guy, they were running commercials like crazy practically screaming "Hey, we got a white guy running the show now!".

Where Toyota has Toyoda as the face of the company, KIA has a German (or tiger) as the face of theirs and Hyundai doesn't even want to be associated with their own name by how hard the Genesis and Equus try to hide the Hyundai name.
