Is The New Corvette Responsible For Slow Viper Sales?
Both are high-performance all-American sports cars, but for whatever reason(s) Viper sales are well below par.

It was only a year and a half ago when the SRT Viper made its big debut at the New York Auto Show. Enthusiasm for the car was huge, despite its $100,000 or so price tag. However, things aren’t looking too cool lately for the V10-powered snake. Sales figures haven’t met expectations so far with only 426 units having been sold through this past September. That number is less than one-tenth of the year-to-date sales of the new Corvette Stingray. The original plan was to sell some 1,600 Vipers in its first year back on the market.

God I hope so. I can see GM investing their money in some of their products (and it shows in how some of their products have really improved like Cadillac) whereas Chrysler has been doing nothing but sucking capital out of their investors/saviors with nothing to show for it at the end of the day.

A comparable vette at 100K with even higher performance in the next version of a ZO6 should complete the embarrassment for Chrysler.

If any indication for how Ive been treated, my $65K SRT 8 jeep on ice for 5 weeks (and counting) because a water pump can't be sourced, Id stay away from Chrysler from this point
