VIDEO: So, What EXACTLY Makes The Porsche 911 50th Anniversary Edition SPECIAL?
As it's been made very aware, Porsche is celebrating the 911's 50th anniversary this year. It's had a brilliant ride and something tells us that Porsche is not going to be slowing down with this model anytime soon.

Since its inception, the 911 has continually gotten better over the years and in its latest iteration — the 991 — it has made an incredible leap.

To celebrate, Porsche came out with a limited edition 50th Anniversary Edition model. And while we've read the press release about what differentiates it over your standard, run-of-the-mill 911, this video with a Porsche Design Manager, Tony Hatter, makes it a bit more clear what you're getting for your six figures.

Check out the FULL clip below.

At this year's Classics at the Castle, Tony Hatter (Porsche Design Manager) explains how the traditional design elements of the original 911 can be found in the 911 50th anniversary edition.

The 50th aniversary model has hideous houndstooth seats and a substanttally higher sucker price for the fools with too much money. It is laughable.

Looks way to much like the 2003 Volkswagen GTi.

Seats hideous. Wheels look like they were taken off a Kia. The badging '50' is goofy. Does the 50 mean the speed is governed to 50 mph?

Summing it up, it appears to be an old man's car. A very old man to be sure.
