If Chevrolet Built A Corvette Wagon Would You Add It To Your Stable?
If you had been in attendance at the 1954 General Motors Motorama, a new and dream car showcase that toured the country, you would have seen not just one but four versions of the Chevrolet Corvette.

There was a white roadster that had just gone into production, plus three concepts — a creamy yellow hardtop coupe, a pale blue fastback version badged as the Corvair, and something that looked like a station wagon, with a long white roofline poised over a dark blue body.

Chevy called the Corvette wagon the Nomad.

Absolutely not...I'd just go with the CTS-V wagon.

BMW tried this goofy configuration with their 3 Coupe. It tanked. Lets face it, it looks weird, and not in a good way. In business, we call this "a solution without a problem." Laypeople call it "a product nobody wants."

That 3 Coupe was one of the best cars, especially the M version, BMW ever made!

I'm also sure BMW made money on every model of that coupe that rolled off the assembly line. In business, we call that generating a return on a product that is greater than the marginal cost of the good(s).

Clarification: Z3 Coupe was a dud.

The regular 3-series coupe is a staple of the BMW lineup.

Z3 Coupe is also one of the best cars BMW ever made. While it may not have the styling to earn you money, it was one of the best handling BMWs. It is a great driver's car!
