If GM or Ford wanted to be relevant, the Edge, Explorer, Flex, Expedition, Traverse, Acadia, Enclave, SRX, Tahoe, Yukon, Escalade, and Suburban would have been hybridized across the board. Yet again, Toyota will be a decade ahead.

Ford and GM are relevant enough to know hybrids do not return on investment for the consumer.

Yeah, because hybrid vehicles are selling so well (and that's coming from someone who supports their development). Maybe GM is talking a "wait and see" attitude, which makes perfect sense under the circumstances.

GM had hybrids of their large SUVs and they just didn't sell very well because they cost more for a VERY small increase in fuel economy. So for now they've backed off making more. By the way I'm liking that new Land Cruiser... considering the quality I would probably opt for that over a LR4 or something.
