2013 SEMA SHOW STUD or DUD: Are These CLEAR Lights Workin' On The Porsche 911 Or Should They Be Removed ASAP?

When it comes to modifying a Porsche, to me, things can get a bit tricky. But, since we're at the 2013 SEMA Show, you know that you have ALL of the good and ALL of the bad.

And Agent 001 spotted an interesting one for us.

He found an all-new Porsche 911 (991) on the street and snapped it as he saw it was lightly modded. The interesting part came when 001 got to the back of this 911 though. That's because this little beauty was equipped with clear taillights.

Now this may seem like something small but it completely changes the rear end of the 911.

001 told me he LOVES this look on the 911 and that these lights looked killer.

I, on the other hand, am not digging it all that much. It looks a bit too...chintzy.

So, 001 and I are leaving it up to YOU: do YOU think these clear taillights are working on the 911 or are they lame?

I'm not a fan at all of the clear lens. On a white car like this it almost works, but for most cars, for me it interrupts the flow of the lines.

That's probabley a Techart car as that's their front-end...clear rear lenses are an option from Porsche on the GT3 so I'm not so sure they're illegal.

I like the clear side markers, just like how I have them on mine. But those clear back lights are not for me. They cheapen the 911. They look like they belong on a Honda Civic or a Subaru, but not on a Porsche...any Porsche.
