How would an old rally car fair against a modern day and high-tech small performance sedan? That’s a question Audi was asking itself when it decided to set up a little competition between the beloved Sport Quattro and the all-new S3.

If you know your Audi history you’ll immediately recall that the Sport Quattro debuted in 1980 and was the brand’s first car to feature that quattro four-wheel-drive system. Power originally came from a turbocharged 2.1-liter inline-five that produced 197 horsepower.

I'm sorry but why even call it an "S"? It looks the same as the regular A3, No differentiating body panels, and the "S" model Audi goes against regular BMW's that don't have a special designation. Audi puts the "S" on it so they can charge $3000 more for it than the Competing BMW. "Look its an "S". lower priced are Audis are so Generic looking.
