LA AUTO SHOW: FIRST Real-Life Photos Of Kia's K900 SPIED In The BUFF Before Its BIG Reveal In LA
Technically speaking, yesterday marked the first day of the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show. It was the day where the connected car stuff debuted. In reality, no one cares. The show really begins on the 20, after the pre-show parties.

And a spy happened to be in the right spot at the right time yesterday as Kia's all-new K900 was unloaded right in the middle of a public street. It was not sporting any covering or packaging to keep it hidden before the BIG reveal of the all-new flagship aiming to take down luxury players like the BMW 7-Series.

From what we can see from these first images, it's pretty clear that the K900 isn't too much different from the Hyundai Equus. Note the interior setup, specifically the center stack and center console.

Expect PLENTY of REAL-LIFE shots coming to you LIVE from the floor of the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show later today.

Can't decide between a 7-series, Lexus LS or A8? Get the Kia LEXUBMWAUDI.

Love the fake vents on the fenders. Looks like they were stuck on with 3M tape.

I think the car looks great. Nice to see the full panoramic roof glass and sunroof like the Optima instead of the earlier small sun roof. I have been tracking this car for months coming out of Korea into Russia, Middle East and Europe. I love my Kia Optima Hybrid and had been driving Acura TLs for years. Hands down a better drive than a TL and takes regular gas and gets 50 MPG. Looking forward to our local car show and a test drive of the K900 at my local dealer. I think this car is on my buy list for summer 2014.

Looks like a LS460 and a Ford Fusion had a child out of wedlock.

GOD I HOPE those side vents have shutters and aren't as FAKE as they look.

Otherwise, I'd say Korea has another decade to go before they understand what it means to be well engineered.

If those stupid things are actually fake, what does it say about the rest of the car?

What I can say is "kudos" to Kia (and Hyundai) for having the balls to try to take on the S/7/A8. Something Infiniti and Acura or even Cadillac or Volvo, have yet to do recently.

It isn't hard to take them on when all you do is buy on of their cars, replace the name and then sell it for $30K less and eat the loss so you can claim that your (their) car is of equal caliber.

I did notice that the earlier photos showed the BMW shifter, parking brake button and identical button layout in the center. This one they rearranged and uglified the buttons. BMW must of threatened a lawsuit for using their molds from the factory.

Porsche Panamara quad headlights.
BMW nose, dash and shifter.
Infiniti clock.
Lexus tail
Oldmobile faux gill things.

These Koreans have no shame whatsoever but I'm sure a few cheap white people will buy them and try to rebadge it as something else.

Definitely Lexus from the side, I recognize the chrome door accents that they stole from the LS/ES.

Sick and tired about those korean copy and paste design from three Germans brands and also Lexus , they don't have brain or what , even using a fired designer from Audi , Jesus , still copying everything embarrassing .

So what should this car be called, the ES5-series Lacrosse?

The bashing is pretty laughable given that the reliability of this should be infinitely better than the Germans. The Genesis is a lot more reliable that similar German conveyances and this is very Genesis based. The styling is derivtive, but attractive. Hyundai/Kia needs to make Genesis a name and put its premium products under it. The Genesis and Equus have consistently met sales targets. This should too. The Equus is the surprise. It's doing a lot better than anyone would have imagined a Hyundai S Class would have. It sells 3 units for every 4 Jaguar sells of the XJ.
