LA AUTO SHOW: How Can Audi, BMW, Cadillac, Lexus AND Mercedes COMPETE With THIS Kind Of Style? Maserati's BLUE Bombshell
Now this isn't the first time we've seen the Maserati Ghibli. It's a stunning looking four door but until now I think we haven't exactly seen it in the right color combination. Now, that may be about to change.
Making its way to ell-aye via Italia was a Ghibli in a bright blue exterior and black interior trimmed in carbon fiber. When you take a look at the details Agent 001 caught on camera below, I think it'll be hard to argue that the Audi A6, BMW 5-Series, Cadillac CTS, Lexus GS and Mercedes-Benz E-Class can even come close in the styling department.
And when you get to the interior, I think it looks on par with the quality expected in a BMW 5-Series. Note it's relatively Spartan appearance.
Just think, many of you haven't even heard this baby's exhaust yet. We've posted videos of it before and from what we've heard, we think it'll be hard to turn this Italian stallion away if you're getting bored of the status quo.

Gotta admit, this is a looker. I like it better than the Quattroporte. It's kind of cuts the middle of an E & CLS, A6 & A7, not quite a roomy sedan and not quite a 4-door coupe. That interior, though, needs more than that monotone black/charcoal coloring and maybe a bit more style.

If you play around with the configurator you can come up with some seriously snazzy two-tone interiors.
Check it out.

This looks like a Japanese Maserati, The headlights are ripped from an Infiniti and the Tail Lights from Lexus...Kind of disappointing to be honest

It doesn't move me. Rear reminds me of Lexus, and the face is off-putting. But that's just me. If you like it, then it's right for you.

Unless you are referring to the lovely lady in the photos, Maserati is not setting any styling benchmarks with this vehicle, especially for the price this Italian is going to command at the dealership.

How? simple. Too heavy and the steering is soft. not a 50/50 weight distribution. no thigh extender for a sport seat, no adjustable side bolsters, the nav system still looks ancient. the nav processor is slow and you become impatient. Stupid chit eatin grin on the front. too much chrome, prefer black high gloss trim on the outside. slower 0-60 times than most vehicles of this size.
the only good thing about maserati, multiple color choices and the exhaust note is great.

Interior is gorgeous and simple. Don't need all the silly options that one may not use. Clutter free and very elegant interior.

In person it is very handsome aside from the Kia Optima tail. Having had the fortune to have been my father-in-law's guest when he was invited to preview the Ghibli (as an owner of several Maseratis), I can say the car does not disappoint, BUT it is about $15K too expensive when compared to similarly equipped German sedans. Nevertheless he ordered one on the spot.
That steep price of admission is especially expensive when you realize that the Ghibli rides on the platform that will replace the Charger and 300. The platform is literally the current 300 platform with attention to weight control and replaced front suspension. The Ghibli is gorgeous, but the Hyundai Genesis is as gorgeous and as right of form for "half" the price without any loss of performance. The stupidly named K900 will likely be a better choice as well. Heck a CST-V would kill the Ghibli for style and performance.
Maseratis should be priced to the penny what a similar product would be at BMW/Audi/Mercedes or even below to get people to gamble on Maserati and its less than stellar reliability. Maserati should also be in Chrysler dealers for market coverage. Marchionne is stumbling badly at the moment.

i have to agree with mattD.. i think because of the name most would consider it, but for a premium over an E class or 5 series ( proven cars, better reliabiliy, cheaper maintenene) maserati should be priced to the penny..

What's so "Good Looking" about it? Doesn't look any different than the Maseratis that I've been seeing for the past few years.
