Honda Says NSX Convertible On The Way 2 Years After Coupe Debut
Honda has confirmed that it has started work on a convertible version of the new NSX hybrid, due to be launched at least two years after the coupe makes its debut in 2015.

"We are looking at the convertible," said Principal Designer Jun Goto, "but we have a long way to go with it," before saying it was not yet decided even whether the roof would be a hard or a soft top.

It is however believed to be a proper roadster, and not a return to the rather unsatisfactory targa panels used on the original open NSX.

10 years later... Honda is a big disappointment dragging this car out so long and offering lackluster-uncompetitive cars like the RLX and ILX. I could really care less about the NSX anymore, it will be just another disappointment I am afraid. Hurry up already Honda! My god you are slow.

*Sigh*. Agreed with CCinC. Come on, Honda. You showed a roadster version in the Avengers movie almost two years ago and now you're just starting to look at a convertible and have a "long way" to go?

BUT, I will say Honda/Acura must be doing something right. Whether it's the NSX or any of its new products because the Acura Facebook page has increased its followers by about 150k in the past year or so since the intro of the ILX, RLX, MDX, RDX, and news of NSX (now up to about 450k). For a primarily US-only brand, that's pretty impressive.
