The Jaguar V8 is very closely related to the Ford 5.0. Part of the deal to Tata was the continued use of Ford engines. If anything Tata should continue the arrangement. Jaguar has not designed its own engine in decades. It's a smarter move to stay aligned to Ford.

The Jaguar AJ133(V8) and AJ126(V6) engines are not related in any way to any Ford engine. It's 100% Jaguar designed. The block and heads are completely different.

They are built in Wales in a seperate Jaguar engine facility at Ford's Brigend engine plant. This has been Jaguar's engine facility since 1996 starting with the first AJ-V8. There are no Ford engines built in this facility. Only the Jaguar V8, Jaguar V6 and the Volvo designed inline 6.
