Looks like a BMW 7 series.

Not surprised.

The 7-series wished it looked that good....

You have to ask yourself, do you reward innovation or imitation? I have a problem with companies that take someone else's hard efforts, apply their "improvements or vision" and then peddle it at a cheaper price. There is nothing innovative about the car, not on the level you would see from the Germans. Instead you see a rehash of the technology already available at a cheaper price, which in itself is not a bad thing. When the Koreans can start to show technological leadership, only then will brand image be considered on par with other premium brands. But that is my just my opinion. Although, spending more for the same technology may not seem like the sensible thing to do, remember that the price premium is being used to innovate the technology of tomorrow...for other people to copy the next day.

Looks like a whole buncha other cars, inside and out. I'm sure it's going to be nice, but there's just nothing really that stands out. And that rear seat headroom looks very compromised.

Very impressive. If it drives well, the 5-Series will be impacted for sure (especially after it places last in the recent C&D review), as will the GS and E Class. A shame about BMW, combining the 5 and 7 series into one platform was a big mistake. Hyundai is coming along very quickly (not to mention Kia).

The current Genesis is in the hunt with the premium competition. While it may not be a canyon carver like a BMW, the one thing it has over the Germans in spades is RELIABILITY. Reliability is a major indicator of designed in quality. The Genesis R Spec is an especially nice drive. The new Genesis is a lot better looking than the current one and knowing Hyundai, the chassis will be a leap forward as well. If this had a German nameplate the people here who see "nothing special" would be slobbering in anticipation.

The ONLY dumb move in Hyundai/Kia's premium offerings is NOT grouping them all under the Genesis name as the brand.

An assortment of design cues from other brands plus a pretty original grille shape. It all comes together well and looks very premium, though Kia leading Hyundai in terms of originality.

This is a very nice looking car. It has some appeal to it. I like how the cockpit area has a nicely curved shape. This instrumentation area reminds me of an older 5er I once owned. This car may not outsell the German brands, but it's a very nice alternative for someone wanting a very nice car that should be reliable. It's not over the top and well done.

Front is Mercedes style,
The back is a mixture of BMW and Lexus, espcecially with the integrated exhaust into bumper a la Lexus LS
