And then we will have a Mini sedan as the dilution of the brand continues unabated. Mini minivan? Mini pickup? Mini crossover-coupesedan-SUV-convertible-dump truck? Sure! The Mini needed to be kept tightly focused and sold through BMW dealers NOT in stand-alone dealers that need a full-line to stay in business.

The brand is already diluted. This new Mini is simply a BMW 1 series with a Mini body style.It has a BMW engine,it uses the same platform as the 1 series,probably 50% of the switches are shared with BMW.There is very little if any trace that mechanically this is a British car otehr than the body style.There is nothing wrong with BMW. However this is supposed to be a "British" car.It isn't.

and? I see it as a good thing that BMW has this brand and injects its engineering that is world renowned into this product line like they have done for years.... I realize it is more BMW than ever before but I just don't see that as a bad thing, my $.02
