RDX or MKX?

Lincoln MKX or Acura RDX? Both cars share similar names and have very nice features, but the question is would you rather have? Both cars have unique styling and sophisticated features, but which would you prefer?

The MKX has 3.5 Liter 265 horsepower Duratec V6, while the RDX only has a 2.3 Liter 240 horsepower DOHC turbo-charged 4 Cylinder with VVTI. Would you rather go with the Acura RDX and sacrifice power… or lose a little fuel economy and go with a more powerful stronger V6? Both cars get about the same MPG.

The base price for an RXD is $32,995 and the price for a base MKX is $35,960 (USD) The price for a fully loaded Acura RDX is $41,170, while the price for a fully loaded MKX is $ 43,970. So if you’re willing to spend $2800 more you can go with the MKX which I think would be a better deal considering you get a panoramic roof system in the MKX.

The MKX certainly has more road presence than the RDX and feels more upscale on the interior.

The RDX has odd styling and is more performance orientated while the MKX is a more luxurious contemporary vehicle. Well it all comes down to your decision, but I know I prefer the MKX.

mstangpny07 - Yes that is the Canadian International Autoshow hosted in Toronto at the North MCC and the South MCC and the Rogers Center (which used to be the Sydome) It's a rotary show... it's very big!

efoxS4 - Yes I saw an RDX on the street and I barely noticed it because I thought it was a CR-V! Not much road presence... smae with the CX-7. There are lots of Q7's around Toronto!

Acurs uses Honda's iVTEC in the RDX...VVTI is toyotas version...that they copied from Honda.

aside from that, i'd definately take the RDX! the Lincoln may have a more imposing look to it, but on resale value alone it would be the choice for me. not to mention all the little toys on it like the ELS sound system, real-time traffic updates etc...

RDX is a departure for Acura. After watching half of the street tuners in America turbo charge their four cylinder engines, they decided to do it for themselves. I think it depends on what you are looking for. Sporty, go for RDX. Luxury, go for MKX. By the way, Acura resale is not what it used to be, at least not here in the midwest.

The MKX is definitely a cheap "Ripp OFF" Lexus RX brand, man I mean look at it and the last generation of the RX. From the side it look like the current Lexus RX350.

The problem with the RDX is it's gas mileage.
19/23 for a 4 cylinder turbocharged????

Not sure where you are getting an RDX at $41,170? They top out at $37k and change with the only option, the Tech package. Not a huge fan of the RDX because of price anyway, but I certainly would take it over the MKX. Plus, the real comparison should probably be the MDX and MKX.

MKX slots in between RDX and MDX. MKX does not have a third row seat like MDX, but has a six like the MDX. Peter De Lorenzo at autoextrimist.com said that if the Edge and the MKX do not fly out of the showroom, Ford is in real trouble. This is basically the franchise on the line time for them, and I am not getting a happy warm feeling about either of these vehicles.

Lincoln made a big mistake by switching to letters. They said it was more "European" I don't think so.
And think how many people will be confusing MKS, MKX and MKZ!!!
M-K-X sounds a lot like M-K-S.

Ford/Lincoln to Honda/Acura.I take the RDX after all,it
a honda.What happen GM,DC,Nissan and Mazda don't have
a box on 4 weels to compare with the MKX
