WHAT Is Ford Announcing About The 2015 Mustang TODAY? Shelby? SVT?
Late yesterday, Ford's Twitter account specifically devoted to the Ford Mustang sent out an interesting tweet with an even more interesting picture. Here is what it read:

We've got some exciting news about the new . You'll have to drop by tomorrow to find out what it is.

Well, isn't that cute.

There is no clear indication of what it will be, but I think a safe bet will be on the all-new Shelby model. The 2015 Mustang seems to be heavily influenced by the 1965 Mustang with its fastback roofline and if you look back in history, 1965 was the first year that Shelby started modding Mustangs with the GT350. Perhaps its an all-new GT350? But, my money is on an all-new GT500 with a slightly different — but essentially carried over — motor.

As you can see in our cover image, the teaser appears to be silver with blue stripes.

The 2015 is NOT NOT NOT influenced by the 1965 Mustang it is overly influenced by the 2013 FUSION. Given the styling stumble the new Mustang is, Ford may be dumb enough to drop the Shelby edition for an SVT edition. If the announcement is not a Shelby, even more die hard Mustang owners will be pissed off.

Other than the front grill and perhaps the ribbing on the front hood the 2015 Mustang bears no other relation ship to the Fusion. Further if you put the 2 side by side you would see that even though similar the grill is actually lower and wider than on a Fusions. The fastback on 2015 Mustang CLEARLY harks back to the 65-69 Mustang fastback. As for styling stumble I'm wondering what your smoking. This is the best looking Mustang to come out since the 66-69.

No...it does not. The "B" pillar is not body color for one. I broker vintage Mustang sales and collectors are pissed off.

Maybe you mean 66-70 as far as the best looking Mustangs. If you look at the picture from the back you can't help seeing the influence of the 65/6 Mustang fastback. By the way is there anything wrong with looking a bit like the new Fusion??? it's an incredible looking machine as well..... I've owned 4 69/70 Mustangs and would call myself a diehard.....

What's wrong with it looking like a Fusion? By that "logic" a Corvette should look like a Malibu. #NONSENSICAL
