CAR WARS! ULTIMATE Four-Door Coupe Showdown — Audi RS7 vs. BMW M6 Gran Coupe
In the world of 550 horsepower plus four-door coupes, there are really several choices a buyer would have to make. And, I'll tell you, it wouldn't be an easy decision. That's because there are a handful of options.

Of course prices vary but each brings something unique to the table. Here are your choices:

- Audi RS7
- Aston Martin Rapide S
- BMW M6 Gran Coupe
- Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG
- Porsche Panamera Turbo S

In this particular head-to-head showdown, the four rings takes on the Bavarians. It's not exactly a fair comparison given that the Audi is an all-wheel drive vehicle versus the BMW's power being sent to the rear. This means they both will boast completely different characteristics. BUT, this is something someone in the market cross shopping would have to sort out.

That said, check out how this little battle shakes out down below...

This is the new Audi RS7 and its arch-rival, the BMW M6 Gran Coupe. Both are powered by turbocharged V8 engines and have over 500bhp -but do they really justify their nearly £100,000 price tags? Watch our video review to find out.

The BMW M6 costs just under £98,000 and features a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 with 552bhp and 680Nm of torque. It'll sprint from 0-60 in just 4.2 seconds before hitting a limited top speed of 155mph.

The Audi has a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 yet despite being down on capacity compared to the BMW it produces the same bhp and has even more torque with a huge 700Nm. Once again top speed is limited to 155mph, but it hits 60 in just 3.9 seconds.

Uh oh, the audi guys are not going to be happy that the RS7 is unengaging to drive. I love how all the performance tests lately in acceleration are in the rain and with wet leaves on the ground.

You do realise that this test was done in the UK with UK Registered Vehicles ?

Would you prefer for them to wait for the 2 or 3 days of dry, perfect weather in order to perform tests so RWD vehicles could look better ?

More than 80% of the time in the UK the roads are Wet with Leaves on them, or Black Ice, or Standing Water.

You would have much more fun in the RWD M6, up until the moment you mate your vehicle with a tree / lamp post.

The reality is though, neither RWD or AWD should be driven to the limit when it's wet anyway, It's just dangerous regardless. So I would rather buy a "slower" RWD and have more fun then a numb but "Faster" AWD.
