Ford to Release 23 New Or Refreshed Models Worldwide In 2014
You’ve got to spend money to make money, or in Ford’s case, cars.

In a year-end report to investors, Ford said it will unveil 23 new and “significantly refreshed” models around the world next year, roughly double the size of its product pipeline this year. What’s more, it has talked about only eight of the planned vehicles, including the 2015 Mustang that it revealed earlier this month.

It require lot of money for retooling... What will the investors react? There is a huge cost and 24 model changes in every 5th year? I'm outisder of automotive business. Is it anybody to explain the economical effect?

I see no issue. Ford is playing hardball with product. We also have to remember that they are not changing 24 distinct CARS but 24 MODELS. Thus updating the Focus means at least 3 models: standard, ST, EV. The Mustang is a minimum of 4 models for the coupe, now factor in the convertible...
