NHTSA Sets The Stage To Recall 253,000 Self Combusting Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cars
Like they say, where there's smoke there's fire. After opening an investigation this past July on the 2008-2009MY Mercedes-Benz C-Class over 21 complaints alleging tail lights failures that could lead to fire due to shorts, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said it is upgrading and expanding its probe to include 252,867 C-Class cars from the 2008-2011MY.

The government agency said that in its expanded probe, it looked into 114 complaints, among which, there were five reports alleging fire including one injury allegation because of this issue.

What were we saying about Mercedes quality?

Let me see, do we want to compare the number of recalls and quality issues by brand for this year? I believe TOYOTA is by far leading that category. Buddy, I drive a LEXUS and had my share of issues. Previously I had a MB C230 Sport which had about the same number of issues as my current car. My mom's HONDA Accord (which I love those cars) also has had it share of issues, most recently brake issues.
I personally believe all these cars have issues regardless of the brand.
BTW what is your problem with MERCEDES? Cannot afford one or just envy? Cannot stand it that people aspire to own one and their latest sales numbers are breaking records? Grow up and stop with the tantrums.

Wow. People still say Mercedes is actually associated with something "luxury", when Mercedes' cheapest junk are something pretty much no one even wants (Like B class, underpowered C class, etc)?

I envy those who have something like Lexus LX.

But envying someone who has a B or C class? Then that person clearly has no idea about cars.
