Have YOU Ever Gifted Someone A Car? WHAT Car Did YOU Gift And WHY?

Have YOU Ever Gifted Someone A Car? WHAT Car Did YOU Gift And WHY?
Ah, the eve before Christmas. So many great memories.

I am not sure about you but my family celebrates Christmas the eve before. It's a great time for the family to get together and show each other love via exchanging gifts. Over the years I've seen some great gifts but I have yet to see anyone gift a car.

And in the wonderful world of TV Land, there are commercials out there showing folks gifting cars. So, I have to ask: Have YOU ever done this before? Have you gifted someone a car? And, if so, what was the occasion?

I have to admit that Lexus' annual "December to Remember" event inspired me here. Check out this year's spot below...

The Lexus December to Remember event has some of the best deals all year. Quit waiting, get yourself or someone you love into a Lexus this holiday season.

1959 Bentley S1 with only 40k miles in perfect condition for my Dad on his 70 birthday.
As long as I remember,he always talked about that car as his dream car after seeing it on a street in Warsaw in 1960(UK Embassy car) as a very young man.

Now that's a helluva story!

Must be great to be able to give that to your pops.

Merry Christmas!

Just this morning gave my oldest granddaughter an AMG ML63 and my youngest granddaughter an R8 Spyder.

Of course, they have battery power and can only cruise the sidewalks at about 5MPH, but you should have seen their faces this morning!

I have never "gifted" (sic) anyone a car, but someone has GIVEN me one. For my birthday I got a pristine TVR Tasmin coupe. UhMazeBallzzz

In English language the verb is actually 'to GIVE'. Yes, we GAVE our old Skoda mk 1 Fabia to my sister in law. It's a 2000 model, still going very strong. A beautifully put together car, designed by the same man who designed the Bentley Continental GT. He is a very GIFTED man it seems. By using 'to gift', playing around with converting a useful noun into a 'new' verb, you destroy other usages of value. 'To gift' is zoo ugly - like any current BMW design for instance. Ugly and aggressive.
