VIDEO: So, What Do YOU Think Of The All-New Alfa Romeo 4C's Exhaust Note?

The Alfa Romeo 4C is probably one of the coolest cars to come out this year. Of course, being in the US, we're waiting on a typical, Alfa Romeo delay. Like always we're told "wait until next year."

We're waiting!

But since the car has been getting into the hands of folks abroad, a bunch of clips of the car have been making their way around that glorious place called YouTube. And, after hearing it a bunch of times, I am not sure what to make of the exhaust.

It sounds pretty much identical to the Fiat 500 Abarth, at least to my ears. That's not a bad thing, it's just an interesting thing because the Abarth's note sounds great for a four-cylinder motor because it's a bit brute-ish and rough with a lot of variety. Though, some would say that it can be a bit agricultural.

That said, I am leaving it in YOUR hands, Spies?

I have filmed a sweet looking Alfa Romeo 4C during a trackday event held by Top Gear Magazine Italy. Video shows the Alfa starting up and revving the tiny 1.75L turbo engine, as well as doing a couple of accelerations and fly bys on track.

Kinda dumb. And I don't understand why people like Alfa Romeo, they look like a joke and way too overpriced.

It's like, selling Volkswagen Golf for 200,000 dollars LOL

If you don't like the styling or exhaust note of this car, I guess you think Ferraris are joke cars too. I'm guessing you are in your 50's and live in the Midwest?

The exuast note sounds good to me. It's not a V8 but it's better than most if not all 4 cylinder turbo engines.Look if your not into Alfa's you'll never understand.

To be straightforward, four-cylinders make simply the worst notes in the world. They're annoying and bassy.

This, on the other hand, sounds very unique and I dig it. Even when it's a bit tractor-y on the low end of the rev range.

Just because alfa's are great looking and drive great doesn't mean they are great to own.....No dealers and lots of problems.

Fiat is trying to keep Alfa Romeo from dying so their solution is to build a Pontiac Fiero and price it like a Porsche. If the 4C were $25-35K it would be brilliant, but priced like this it's ridiculous.

I just keep hearing a Johnson outboard for some reason. Not that there's anything wrong with that mind you, but when I close my eyes and hear the Alfa rev, I see the water spitting out. Just sayin...
