One of Formula One's greatest drivers, Michael Schumacher, has been involved in a skiing accident, according to reports coming to us from abroad.

The latest being reported is that Schumacher was skiing off-piste — there are still conflicting reports whether or not Schumacher was piste or off-piste — when he fell and his head hit a rock. Reports have said his injury is serious although it shouldn't be be life threatening. It's tough to believe that as Schumacher was taken away from the scene via a helicopter.

The good news is that he was wearing a helmet and was awake and conscious when he was being transported.

Most likely he was off-piste given his take it to the limit personality. Fortunately, he can afford the best medical attention money can buy and I wish him a full and speedy recovery.
