The Spark is a surprisingly good little car especially in light of the fact that it was federalized AFTER being on sale and NOT specifically designed for North America. This says a lot about how far GM Korea has come since the dark days of Daewoo. Too bad Opel is floundering and clueless.

So, the car is awarded the very big deal of top safety pic, in AMERICA!! Then you show us a picture of the european version of the car. Really?? The two have completely different front appearances you know!! This is the best pic you could come up with from the 100's available on a google search, all of the US version! As an owner, I'm offended. I love my Spark. Way better than the FORD I had before. Very glad it has shown how strong a structure it is despite it's diminutive size. Well done GM of Korea. Those Koreans know how to build small cars.

Yeah, Ok, to the article came from a different source. Please forward my comment to them. LOL. Interesting note about the strength of the car. Most of your average luggage racks on small SUV's (even on minivans) are rated to handle about 100 lbs. Due to how strong the roof is, they were able to design rails that could support 150 lbs. That's pretty cool. The car could use another 15 bhp and same increase for torque. Other than that, it's a great car. Especially in heavy city traffic.
