SPIED: FIRST Shots Of BMW's REFRESHED X3 — EXTERIOR and INTERIOR Shots!
It was only a couple years ago BMW brought the market an all-new X3.

Although the first-gen X3 was panned for its questionable looks and overly stiff suspension, I have to say after driving a 2006.5 extensively, it was a damn good sport-utility vehicle. Would it go off-roading like a Land Rover Range Rover? Absolutely not.

But it had a sweet six-cylinder motor and it rode just as good as a 3-Series. Looking back the interior was pretty dismal — probably the worst materials to be featured in a BMW, ever — the door panels felt like they were made from a composite mostly made of styrofoam. I will say it was much better after another refresh in 2007.

When the second-gen SUV debuted, I was pleasantly surprised. That's because it was a HUGE improvement. After being on sale for a couple of years though, it's time to give it another refresh. With an all-new Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class on the way and more pressure from Audi with the SQ5, BMW has to step up its game to keep its market share.

That said, here are the first up close and personal spy shots of the new X3 that should be on its way to an auto show near you soon.

Alright, I'm just going to say it. EVERY BMW SUV/SAV, or whatever, are the LEAST ATTRACTIVE vehicles in their respective segments. Just hideous. Take off the BMW badges and the kidney grilles, and just look at the designs by themselves, and they are incredibly unappealing. No aesthetics. No inspiration. No sophistication.

There, I said it.

I agree for the most part. The plus side for bimmer owners of older X3 and 5 models is the designers are relatively lazy and barely bother to make exciting changes to the design in neither the interior or exterior.
