DETROIT AUTO SHOW- FIRST And BEST Detailed OFFICIAL Photos Of The Lexus RC F Exterior!
The gauntlet has been thrown and it is resting directly in the middle of the German court. But who is going to have the moxie to pick it up?
What are we talking about?
Lexus just shot the first round in what is promising to shake up the uber coupe market for quite sometime. Yeah, we know their first attempt (the IS-F) as noble as it was, didn't change the status quo.
But this time around it looks like Lexus did their homework, and we are betting it will be different.
Check out these shots and tell us if they are on to something!

I am not a fan of this blue color we see today...I would like to see it in silver or black...but, I think this is a great design!

Color is the only thing I like about it.

I'm getting to like it, but that rear end is still way too busy. It really does make it look/feel like it's in a lower class than it's intended to be.

Looks way over done, cheap and actually looks more like a tricked up Toyota GT86 and even the top of the line version of the GT86 looks better than this RC. That hideous Lexus trademark grill is as ugly as ever and totally ruins the front end looks.

Thank you, that's what I was thinking. The original concepts they were showing for the LS-RC were beautiful and swooping with a presence. I see this and suddenly I think re-skined BRZ/GT86/FR-S.

Like it or not this thing has genuine presence. I can't think of any German car short of some AMG Benzes that would attract as much immediate attention.

So does a tricked out 95 Civic, but I wouldn't be caught dead driving one.

This site is a lot like the 3 Bears with out an ending...always too hot, or too cold...never just right. Where's Goldilocks when you need her? It's good to know driving still exists in the afterlife though.

The Europeans wish their cars actually looked as cool as this.
I mean, look at the new BMW M6, it looks even worse than the last gen.
But this? Just simply too beautiful.
The Europeans could learn one or two from the Japanese in terms of designing cars. I really mean it.

And there we go, as we all know, many of those so called "car fans" are nothing but Europe worshipping badgewhores. All those negative opinions towards this Lexus was simply expected.
If this car had a Benz logo on it, I bet most of the comments here would be all about how great it looks.

Well-executed and wrong at the same time.

This is exactly what Lexus needs and Mercedes must be crying. Mercedes is attempting to give its cars a "so garish and tasteless it's genius look" and they fail miserably and here comes Lexus who pulls it off. This could drive like a Peugeot diesel out of the 70s and I'd buy it over an 4 Series which (1) looks nothing special and (2) looks too much like the previous 3 Series coupe to even be aware it's new.

1. Much nicer looking than the bland BMW 4-series
2. If this were a Supra people would be selling their first born
3. I like it
4. Great work Lexus
5. Might not be to everyone's tastes but one thing is for sure. It makes the competing cars look like they need a new design team.
6. A few more vehicles like this and I'll change my screen name.

lol ... this site kills me. not a very attractive car at all. yet this is the design direction that Lexus has been trying to take as of late in order to attract a younger audience. From that aspect, they have succeeded. Yet there is no flow to any of their designs. Side profile has a very Hyundai Genesis coupe look and B86 look. From the front looks like a kit car with the in your face mesh grille & the back looks like IS-F meets Supra.
Not very impressed as was hoping for something better.

I'm really having a hard time warming up to this design. Yes, it's expressive. Yes, it's bold. But it just doesn't work for me. Not in this segment.
Lexus is that nerdy girl in high school who had little friends and was picked on because of her homely looks. She gained a bit of confidence through college. Now she wears nice clothes, alot of makeup, nice shoes, loves animal print….but it still all just comes off as trying too hard and a bit awkward.
