EXCLUSIVE: Spies first to break new photos of the next Cadillac CTS

EXCLUSIVE: Spies first to break new photos of the next Cadillac CTS
Under the checkers and black vinyl is none other than Cadillacs 2008 CTS. This new version of Cadillacs popular car will be riding on the rear-wheel-drive Sigma platform, and carries some Escalade styling cues in its redesign. But well likely have to wait until the NAIAS in Detroit next January before we see more of the 2008 CTS.

The interior is improved. It also has the Audi/Volkswagen grill, like the one on the 3 series.

What is with the Nissan Altima tailights?? I agree the interior is as curvaceous as Angelina Jolie, but I still don't have a feel for the front end, hopefully it is more dramatic, the current one is bland as hell. Also I hope the rear has a wider feel to it, every time I see one of these they look way to narrow from the rear.

Chewy -I agree. Before the interior was rubbish now it's much improved.

Love the curve ( interior cue ) of the dashboard which is similar to the previous BMW E46. The new interior on the BMW's with the straight dash takes away from the overall driver oriented feel.

Well... so much for being first. Another site beat you to the punch yesterday, 001; but I like this site, so I will give you kudos for having, by far, the best interior shot.

Much improvement. The current CTS is still nice but like a new generation should be, improvement is a must.
It looks like an STS front end to me. If it has cues from the new Escalade then it will live up to Cadillac's name. That's LUXURY. For the money however i prefer getting a 3-series, TL, G35 sedan. However the CTS will probably have more of a luxury feel than any of those import/euro's.

the thing about the cts is that i can't get in without hitting my head, and then when i am in i have more room in a mini.
it is tiny in the back.

MUCH MUCH Improved. The interior is worlds ahead of its predecessor, and it is one of the more substantial ones now on the market. The curves and layout looks nice and coherent. Now lets just hope the materials are top grade and electronics are reliable. Teh exterior is a nice redesign, with a more refined level of thought. the last gen was a breakthrough to set cadillacs away from the old image, while this gen carries out the iconic design with refinement. thumbs up.

But why has Cadillac insisted on making their dashboard look like the interface for a spaceship?

Why couldn't they focus on getting the right materials and having a clean, elegant layout, rather than a tacky Honda dash.
