DETROIT AUTO SHOW: Is The All-New Chrysler 200 The Car That Will Put The Company BACK On The Map? LEAKED Photos Give FIRST Look
This week has been absolutely maddening with all of the leaked photos and information hitting the 'net before next week's BIG 2014 Detroit Auto Show (NAIAS). It seems like every time I check my RSS feed there's all-new information about, yet, another vehicle slotted to debut in Motown.

I can't remember a show that had this many debuts.

Don't get me wrong, I haven't been keeping count here but from an unscientific perspective, it seems like there's a lot to look forward to and a lot of photographing to be done.

That said, one of the latest vehicles to be "outed" is the all-new Chrysler 200. Picking up where the abysmal Sebring/200 left off, there's no where to go but up. BUT, now the midsize sedan market has serious competition in form of the Ford Fusion, Toyota Avalon and Mazda6.

We want you to take a good look at the 'ol girl and let us know your thoughts: is this all-new, Audi-like Chrysler 200 going to get love in showrooms or is it just "another Chrysler?"

Ok, the front grille reminds me of this:

That being said, these pictures are much more flattering for the car and it actually looks pretty snazzy. Yes, it's still very reminiscent of many cars already on the road, but it should prove to be an appealing alternative for buyers in the segment. The Mazda 6, Fusion, and Optima are still the best looking car in the class.

Let me add that the wood/wood-look trim is simply gorgeous. The interior is definitely better than the Fusion or Mazda6 interiors.

Definitely!

Sure - simply gorgeous FAKE wood; just like the old Chrysler VANs when they put the FAKE wood on it.

The exterior I think is the best part. Very reminiscent of the Fusion, even nicer from some angles. Not so much the Mazda 6. These cars are getting big though.

The front end is a terrible rendition of a Ford Fusion and the rear looks like a better attempt at ripping off a Buick or Chevy. Overall, the car is okay, but just okay. I don't see people leaving Ford or GM for this unless it can post much better reliability, fuel economy, amenities, or all three. I doubt Chrysler can do that.

There is definitely no "Fusion-like" front end as there isn't a large mouth opening.

Not sure what Buick/Chevy vehicles you're basing the rear end on. The taillights look like they're from the Far East when not lit up and when they are lit up it has an Audi-like vibe with the LED tube, which is already seen on the Jeep Grand Cherokee.

I would agree that the profile and shape of the rear are reminiscent of the Buick Regal.

Now that Chrysler has adopted Hyundai's fluidic design language, they will sell like hotcakes.

If anything, this should maintain the sales of the current 200 (122K units for 2013), but without as much cash on the hood to move the metal. The current 200 sells with STEEP discounts. The new one will sell as well but will be more profitable for Chrysler and the dealers. Chrysler took it in the shorts to prop up dealer profits on the current one.

That said, the 200 looks like what the Fusion would have looked like had the first Fusion and the second been styled similarly. The 200 is very 2008 and not very 2014 to my eyes. I do not think it will age well. The biggest issue is the BORING nose.

Good point about profitability!

Also good point about the boring schnoz. It comes off very Chevy Cavalier and not very STRONG with presence.

Beautiful front light and roof shape. The front grill is not bad but in my opinion has lost the personality of the old big grill. Great interiors, the central console looks more luxurious and much better than all the japanese and the Focus wich is to much busy. Anyway the car looks much better then the precedent and from some angle reminds me the A5.

I wonder if this is another Ralph Gilles failure.

This car is simply awesome. All car manufacturers are copying each other these day,so who cares. The Italians are still the best at styling cars.Thic car will put Chrysler back on the map.

Looks pretty bland to me and not likely to get any second looks on the road. Chrysler's appeal issue is more than skin deep.

Agreed, but if this had been as much of a styling leap as the Fusion, Sonata, and Optima were over their predecessors, then this would have been a home run for Chrysler. It looks like a dumbed down Fusion with a boring tail and nose straight out of Chrysler's cab forward days.

Too generic to make a splash
