DETROIT AUTO SHOW: FIRST Shots Of The 2015 Subaru Impreza WRX STI Are LIVE! Are YOU Digging The GOLD?

It was only a couple months ago now, but back in November when the all-new 2015 Subaru Impreza WRX debuted at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, it seemed like the reception was mixed and muted. Hopefully that will all change at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show (NAIAS).

That's because the big guns are going to show up. Although you may have known the WRX STI was on its way from a previous post we threw up, NOW we've got the FIRST official images that have been made public.

As expected, the STI is seen sporting a massive rear spoiler, larger wheels and that iconic Subaru blue paint job.

No other details have been made known at this point. Rumor has it the motor will not switch over to a 2.0-liter forced induction unit, but will remain as the 2.5-liter in the current-gen STI.

We're just days away though. Can you feel it?

The design doesn't exactly get the pulse racing does it? I can't understand with all the plethora of possibilities and crowds of capable designers itching for a chance, Subaru come out with this. They should revisit the drawing board!
