DETROIT AUTO SHOW: The Agents Scope Out The EXCLUSIVE AMEX VIP Party — The Gallery
In the past handful of years, American Express has held a very exclusive event for its top-tier members. You may have heard of these folks, they're the Centurion card holders — you know, the "black card."

We've been invited the past several years, so, why should this year be any different?

This event is the pre-event for the Detroit Auto Show (NAIAS). Essentially, several hundred of AMEX's biggest clientele fly in, check out The Gallery and maybe even make a purchase or two. According to one report, the event typically brings in $3M of sales annually.

You'll only find the best of the best here. Rolls-Royce, Bentley, etc. This year though you'll note a newcomer in the Lingenfelter throwback Corvette that's clearly on a new chassis.

Now, I'll let you get to the pictures.

Enjoy the coverage from this exclusive event!

"VIVA LA VIDA EUROPA!" This is what I can hear from this party here. The rich Americans shall spend more and more cash on the European luxury brands, for the sake of the European economy. Why? Because the Mighty Big 3 of Europe, Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom have spoken.

And not even a penny for the Americans.

Even Cayman gets to be there and yet, there is only one American car there, and even that is a "classic" Corvette (And it's not even a stock model, too). I guess Cadillac is way too "primitive" to even be a part of it.

And absolutely no Japanese car to be seen.

And the worst part is that the one who is hosting it is American Express.
