DETROIT AUTO SHOW: LEAKED! FIRST Images Of The All-New Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Reveal One BADASS Ride
The original Chevrolet Corvette Z06 appeared in the 1963 model year. It wasn't resurrected until the C5 Z06 in the early 2000s. And if you were to ask me which of the C6 variants was my favorites, I'd undoubtedly say the Z06 with that 7.0-liter V8 motor.

Now the 2014 Detroit Auto Show (NAIAS) is set up to make history, yet again, with a Z06. This time we're getting the C7.

Said to have been leaked online via Left Lane News, several all-new photographs of what's said to be the Z06 have surfaced. This past week another publication's reader noticed that one of General Motors' websites had metadata that leaked the powertrains output — 620 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. of torque.

Given that much power, it appears that the ultra aggressive Z06 looks like it's up for the task of being a complete and utter speed demon. Check out all of that cool venting and the aerodynamic modifications.

No word on how much, if any, weight has been shed as information is still lacking.

We're only a day and change away. Hold on tight.

Looks epic. I expect it to annihilate the Viper. It may be competitive with the F12. It will also probably sticker around $100,000. :-( I'll check it out next weekend when I drive up there.

I think you're onto something.

I think 80-85k base and 100+ if you want carbon ceramics and all the good stuff you see here.

Amazing, looks like it would be very at home on a race track which should make it ridiculously fun with a tame hand on the streets. Wonderful to see this trend of American cars truly going toe to toe with the world.

Can anyone figure if it's an auto or manual in these pics?

Shift knob appears to have etching like a gate but the leather boot looks like it goes straight back PLUS it has "+" "-" paddle shifters.

Weird!

The picture shown definitely is a manual transmission shifter (hold down Ctrl and press + until it's zoomed in enough on the shifter to see). Interesting to have a manual shifter and paddles...

Undoubtedly fast and built off the great C7, but I wish it weren't tarted up to appeal to High School boys. Lots of plastic add-ons compared to the base C7 and it has a modded with cheap parts Honda Civic look. If the openings were more body colored then I think it would look more sophisticated and cohesive rather than screaming "look at me".

All those add-ons are aero aids to keep it planted at high speed....

It looks evil. It's almost daring you to drive it. Lots of cars have personality, though this thing looks possessed. Awesome.
