Scion Makes Case For Convertible FR-S - Subaru Says No To Drop Top
Contrary to reports, a convertible Scion FR-S is not dead.

However, because FR-S co-creator Subaru is not interested in making it, Toyota is exploring whether it can bring the sports car to fruition on its own, Doug Murtha, vice president for Scion in the U.S., tells WardsAuto in an interview here during the 2014 North American International Auto Show.

“It’s something we’re looking at internally from both a manufacturing standpoint – where do we build something that’s relatively low-volume, if not at Subaru – and from an engineering standpoint: Where are those resources going to come from to do it?” Murtha says.

And Toyota is letting Subaru boss them around why?? Subaru is too dumb to see that the BRZFRSGT86 desperately needs a lot more power so of course they are too dumb to see the need for the convertible.
