VIDEO: Audi And Volkswagen's Super Bowl Commercial Teasers Hit The Web — Promising?
The biggest day of advertising is upon us. Yes, it's that time of the year where football takes center stage and a New Jersey stadium gets pummeled with snow. Let's hope the latter doesn't effect the game.

Anyhow, for people involved in the ad world, the Super Bowl is the top billing. 30-second spots cost millions and it presents a chance for new brands and big-time names to make an impression that some may never forget for quite some time.

Take, for example, last year's ads that received a healthy margin of votes: the Budweiser Clydesdale commercial and, of course, Chrysler's unbelievable "So God made a farmer" spot using a Paul Harvey speech.

This year we have no idea what to expect. Simply because I don't know if anything can top the outrageousness of a "geek" making out with the drop dead gorgeous Bar Refaeli

Well, Audi and Volkswagen have launched their respective teasers for their soon-to-be-outted commercials. Audi seems to be unleashing something fierce, at least that's what it's dog bit is about. Volkswagen, on the other hand, is poking fun at the internet culture's love for hot women, babies, nut shots and puppies. At least it has the ingredients to be a hit...

**Check out the teaser clips below!

Something unexpected is coming to this year's big game... and this time it's not a power outage.

The precision of German engineering makes great cars. Why not great commercials? See what happens when Volkswagen engineers develop an algorithm to create the ultimate Game Day commercial, featuring Carmen Electra, babies, puppies, Wang Chung and more. It's a surefire recipe for advertising success. Or not.

I don't get the big fuss. Outside of the US do people even see the commercials? Sure we get Superbowl coverage, but we only see our own ads... and normally it's the middle of the night.. so who cares anyway.

I get it's a big deal for Americans though.

It's a huge deal. The Superbowl is the most-watched event of the year and Audi has just released a brand-new A3 Sedan targeted at young 20 and 30-something U.S. buyers. What better way to reach that audience than to have an engaging and exciting ad during the Superbowl?
