Official Lincoln Navigator Shots Surface Are You Impressed Or Depressed With The Result?
Believe it or not the Lincoln Navigator has essentially been the same vehicle since 2007 and is long overdue for an overhaul. So when these first official shots of the ultimate land yacht from Lincoln broke cover you might have been expecting a radical change. Think again, Lincoln has chosen to go conservative with this remake and I have to say that might not be a bad thing. The Navigator is a huge source of profits for the division and Lincoln’s audience isn’t getting any younger so a big change might not be a good thing.
But have they done enough to keep current with the current market leaders? Alienating your audience is one thing but remaining a dinosaur is another. It might not do Lincoln any good if their demographic dies off for the Navigator before the next refresh.
Give us your best shot.

It's definitely an improvement over the current model.

Mitsubishi Endeavor in the front, Honda Odyssey in the back. Lincoln needs to do much better.

Depressed for me , there is nothing new , is clear to see they are not in a good shape, using the same old tacky model and just play with grille , headlights and tail lights , at least this tails lights are less tacky than the previous one. Interior nothing special , low quality for a "Lincoln" brand , so nothing good to me.

Nothing remotely interesting, innovative, upscale or modern about it.

I see so much of our outdated 07 expedition in it. Huge disappointment.

The exterior is basically the same design as a Ford Expedition with a Lincoln style grille. Plus it looks sorta depressing Haha

Nothing to see. Anything America makes is usually outdated, and this is one of them.
If you want a real SUV, then I recommend GL class, Range Rover and such real SUVs. Anything America makes is just way too soulless.

So you recommend SUVs in the $80-100k+ range over something in the $50-60k range... Thanks but I will take soulless and relatively easy to repair over good looking and insanely expensive any day. These are meant to be utility vehicles. They are intended to tow and haul around lots of people. Spending that kind of loot on a utility vehicle is for a different income bracket that only 1% of the population operates in. We have an 07 expedition that is primarily my winter truck and ski trip vehicle and the way we use it, I'd never dream of treating a true lux vehicle that way. Throwing money down the toilet.
Regardless of that, ford/Lincoln missed a chance with this one. Implementing some of the tech and design in the new f150 could have pumped some interest in these again. Especially with the new Tahoe/Yukon that just landed and probably a new sequoia and armada on the way.

That ultra-blinged front end looks surprisingly not bad on the black model, while in white it looks like someone who's teeth are too big for their mouth.
Someone posted elsewhere that they were wondering if Ford is trying to get rid of Lincoln, and this was a salvo in that effort.
While I wouldn't go that far–their cars so far aren't innovative enough to arouse much in the way of passion–Lincoln is beginning to feel like an afterthought, as opposed to Cadillac at General Motors, which is beginning to build cars that can compete with the world's best.

Its an improvement but not enough. Loyal Ford/Lincoln buyers will continue to buy but doubt many conquest buyers will go there. The Suburban/GMC Yukon/Escalade are all new and will definitely make a statement. Not sure this has enough to compete. The MB GL is nice but the GM cars have more variety, even Range Rover has more variety than the GL. For a guy with an American flag as their profile pic you sure never have a good thing to say about American products... you know who you are... enjoy the camry crap you love so much...

What do you mean Camry crap, my friend? I never liked the American and the Japanese products, as it is very hard to recognize them as "real" automobiles.
Because think about this, who makes the best luxury products in the world? Certainly not Americans, and definitely not the Japanese.
Whenever I see something junk like this, it just makes me think about, how good the European automobiles really are. It is simply absurd to buy trash like this, when there are better options like Mercedes G class, GL class, Range Rover and Porsche Cayenne. Now, they are the "real" SUVs that can handle anything.
The European products = Number 1 in the entire world! :D

Those euro vehicles can handle anything? You need to do some research. Those you mention can't tow half of what the US UTILITY vehicles can. Even the diesels. Keep in mind the word utility when spouting your senseless rants.

Good hold over until the total make over due in 2016. I would buy this over the $ 72, 000 base price Gm Junk any day.
