PICS Aplenty! All-New BMW M4 Spotted In Mineral Gray — BEST Color Yet On The Latest M?
Until now we've seen a rather limited color palette for the all-new BMW M3 and M4. For the most part, the vehicles the Bavarians have been showing us are the Yas Marina Blue M3 and Austin Yellow M4.

Though I know Agent 001 thinks the YMB M3 is a killer color, I am not on board. And a well-known writer — who shall remain nameless — for another BMW-centric publication called the blue "cheesy." The Austin Yellow seen on the M4 will definitely require a buyer looking for something properly unique. I, on the other hand, want something more timeless but that's just me.

It's a subjective matter.

But at this week's Houston Auto Show an all-new color we have yet to see popped up on a BMW forum as users found pictures floating around Instagram. It's Mineral Gray, which any Bimmerphile should be familiar with as it's a standard color in the BMW portfolio.

In addition, BMW sent an Austin Yellow M3 WITH a sunroof to the Houston show. This is the first time we're seeing a sunroof in the all-new M3. Is it us or does the sunroof really sour the M car's look?

That said, click "Read Article" to see the plethora of shots from the Houston Auto Show. Let us know what you think of Mineral Gray paired up with that beige-y interior!

I personally would never own a car without a sunroof but I wonder how much how much weight the sunroof adds?

Jeez. Good question.

I'd guess 100 lbs, give or take. Plus, you have to factor in the lighter roof gives the vehicle, overall, a lower center of gravity.

BTW, most of that weight, I'd guess, would be in the glass and not the actual roof.

In addition to carbon fiber vs steel and electronics.

I wish cars didn't come with a sunroof; they are a waste. Just go all the way and buy a convertible if you want open air

Gray has always been a great color for the M series, but it is not the best color.

Blue has been, and will always be, the best looking M color.

i think interlagos blue, estoril blue, fire orange, and mineral white are the M's best colors. for the M4 i actually kinda like the austin yellow. for some reason i dont like the austin yellow on the 4 door, i actually prefer the yas marina blue.

Grey works well to camouflage the over-styled air intakes on the lower front bumper.

Agreed, the darker gray tones down the unfortunate excessive exterior do dads
