Honda Motor Co. has modified a national ad for the Civic compact following an uproar in Detroit over the original spot’s images of protesters outside of a federal court in the city. The ad, "Today Is Pretty Great,"

Detroit shows two things. Arrogance and selfishness. Thanks to those Anti-American garbage companies like GM and Chrysler, which produce a lot of unreliable POS junk that nobody wants to buy. And Chrysler was once on the news, saying the workers smoke weed, and drink during the break time. Laughable. Pathetic.

And the union was pretty much out of control, too.

By the way, in Europe like the United Kingdom, the most famous celebrities are the Prince William and Kate Middleton, who have got class and style both.

In this pathetic country America, the most famous celebrity is Kim Kardashian, who is just a talentless rich woman. Why is she famous then? Because this country itself is pretty much a talentless rich country anyway (But only a few people are rich. 99% of the U.S. are pretty much poor though)

All those things say a lot about this country. Lazy, no class, no nothing.

No wonder this country can never produce a single luxury brand that is famous all around the world. No passion. No culture. No enthusiastic desire to show patriotism (Because most of the U.S. patriots are couch patriots), etc.

This country doesn't even have a brand that really represents America anyway (Oh ya, maybe Coca Cola? Pfft), let alone "luxury" brand.

And many Americans wonder why so many rich Americans only go after the "Made in Europe" products. Well? What kind of idiot would honestly choose Cadillac ATS-V over BMW M3? Or C63 AMG?

"pathetic country America"?? No, hell no!, the only thing pathetic here is JDMknucklehead's endless rants. It's a good thing our country America is strong enough, diverse enough and great enough to tolerate a few fools like him.

Strong enough? Oh of course it is strong, it is so strong, there are brain-dead couch patriots like you who only are capable of saying trash like this.

Great enough to tolerate? What does that mean? Should I be punished for saying something like this? That never happens in Europe, that never happens in Canada, that never happens in Australia. Can you tell me what makes America so special now?

I actually feel sorry for you. You've never been to other countries, have you?

So we should idolize people who did nothing but being born into a monarchy? I'm no Kim K fan, but your point makes no sense.

Last time I checked, we had companies like Apple, IBM, Google, Boeing just to name a few. America is still doing pretty well, even with Obama dragging it down.

Oh, Apple, IBM, Google, oh good for you. I'm sure you'd be proud of yourself telling people "Oh hey look, my country has like Youtube. Microsoft! So amazing!" And they will simply laugh at you.

And the Europeans like Germans, British, Swiss and the Italians and such can tell you they have BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Porsche, Patek Philippe, Rolex, Omega, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Louis Vuitton, Bulgari, Hermes, and the list just goes on and on, endlessly. No wonder 70% of luxury brands in the world all come from Europe. I wonder how many luxury brands come from the United States? 10%? Even that is a lot.

The British monarchy is a tradition of Britain. Something the majority of dumb Americans would not understand (I am not really surprised by this, as the U.S. Education system is pretty much ridiculous).

And I never stated that people should idolize "someone", try to read again if it is hard to understand. I merely stated the kind of people that are being idolized by the society are different in the United States and the United Kingdom.

And unfortunately, since the Americans have no such thing as "class" to begin with, they just end up seeing someone like Kardashian as a celebrity.

You don't really know much of difference between Kardashian and Middleton, do you?

And I think both of you got something completely wrong.

Would I even care about America this much, if I hated it?

I am not American, However I think Monarchy is an stupidity, thats why slowly they are disappearing. I See CNN and I BBC of London, also german channels, but still do not get what is the European pride if most of the times the American are saving their butts. Luxury is nice but any Luxury that is able to sink the whole continent is just plain stupidity. the Euro will die soon, Spain, Italy, Greek, France, United Kingdom, all are going down. So please explain what are you talking about. Who is your biggest market ?, no China is rising but most of the stuff produced in Europe is sold to us cause European people is not able to afford luxury. I do not care about Kim K or Williams but for your non of them is a role model to follow... Right now I accept that Germany is holding the whole weight of the sinking Europe, Including England (almost most of the luxury firms of England belong to German companies that save them from disappear)..Japan offer several brands that are better than anything from Europe, but at reasonable prices. just mention any product and will give you examples. Please talk about cars not PERSONAL OPINION of other topics, this web is for cars enthusiast. And do not forget, thanks to the Americans your are not talking other language....and keep in mind that you will need them soon again..They are not perfect but at least the are willing to help more than you , (even if that is only for economy reasons).
