Renault must not be very bright. Do they not see the hell Mercedes caused Chrysler through during their time of "cooperation"? The Tesla thing just means Elon is looking to sell.

Cooperation with Tesla means Mr. Musk is looking to recoup on technology development costs while using the fact that one of the worlds most "prestigious" brands, in terms of technology and luxury, came to him to license their tech because it is beyond what they have developed themselves.
