SPIED: What Is Going On With THIS Mercedes-Benz CLS Testing In SoCal?
Spied roaming the SoCal streets was a Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class. While we know the three-pointed star has something in the works — like a mid lifecycle refresh — we can't exactly make out what Benz has up its sleeve with this particular vehicle.
That's because this CLS was missing one key element.
Its exhaust.
Fred Khaz noticed this critical difference when snapping this CLS-Class in action on some local roads. Now a test car without an exhaust may seem like "no biggie" as these cars tend to have all sorts of items missing.
BUT, here's the rub. In our experience, when we've spotted a test car without an exhaust it turned out to be electric. When you consider that the last fully electric Mercedes-Benz was that MONSTER SLS AMG it doesn't seem so ridiculous that Mercedes would consider using another halo product to showcase its amazing electric tech.
All things considered though, I am a bit curious:
