The Land Rover Defender’s look was never a primary concern, but it simple shape was never offensive, and many have grown to like it over the decades it has been in service. Now, the manufacturer is looking to replace it with an all-new and modern alternative, one that we now learn will look radically different to the classic.

I consider the Defender look iconic, like the MINI or 911, this looks like a 2020 Suzuki Sidekick. So the answer is no.

It needs to evoke (sic) the original much more. This is great looking but could just as easily be a Kia Soul derivative or the next Skoda Yeti. Definitely NOT iconic enough.

Looks like a Tonka toy, ridiculously juvenile? Does not appeal to somebody who wants to be taken seriously. Good lord, what a terribly childish design.

Looks like a Defender mated with a Cooper Mini. It's not unattractive, but it is odd looking.
