RENDERED SPECULATION: If Lexus' All-New BABY SUV Looks Like This, Does It Stand A Chance in The Market?

RENDERED SPECULATION: If Lexus' All-New BABY SUV Looks Like This, Does It Stand A Chance in The Market?
When we first came across the Lexus LF-NX Concept we were a bit shocked by what Agent 001 characterizes as its "origami" design. In pictures, it really doesn't look good. At all.

BUT, when you do see it in the flesh, we assure you it's a completely different experience. That's because everything — as Steve Jobs would say — "just works."

The shapes come together and the edginess isn't over the top. For a small sport-utility vehicle, it looks like if Lexus made the production version close to the concept it may topple the likes of the Range Rover Evoque that's been gaining a lot of attention since its debut.

So far there's been one "leaked" image and now an artist has put together the rendering of the blue LF-NX you see below. It looks like the artist followed the "leaked" image pretty closely with some differences here and there.

Taking all of this speculation into consideration, if the LF-NX production vehicle came to reality and it looked like the render, do YOU think it would stand a chance against the competitive set? What say you?

I do not need photos to answer the question...Lexus will be successful in this segment.

if kia can make a k900 with hopes of modest success, lexus can easily succeed with an inexpensive car.

This thing just gets uglier and uglier the more you see it. Especially it because of that horrible Predator trademark Lexus grill. Why don't they just make the entire front end a gigantic grill but with fangs and sharp teeth to scare their retirement home customers and their grand children too.

If that blue car is the final design, then I'd EASILY choose a GLA over this.

Absolutely hideous. The gaping mouth just keeps getting more grotesque... I hope they build it, it will make the Aztek look like Christie Brinkley.

Agreed: bad looking but it will sell tons. This is what Lexus needs to build to stay afloat. Trying to add soul and sportiness to the rest of the lineup has proven a disaster.

Another rediculous Lexless design.
