With a $30k front wheel drive car in the lineup, how do we still consider MB a premium/Luxury carmaker? I know BMW is following them with the UKL1 platform, and I will say the same about them when it arrives.

So early in the game with only 1 month of activity but seems like MB has a pretty competitive line-up, both in terms of design and pricing. Biggest worry for them would be the perceived quality and reliability of their entry level cars after the first year of ownership; same goes for BMW and Audi on their entry level cars.

car4life, not saying the S is not premium, just that MB is no longer selling only premium cars. Might as well include Smart cars in the sales. Maybe Sprinters too?

Mercedes has sold Buses, Trucks, and Military vehicles, why would they ONLY sell luxury vehicles and end up a subsidiary like Bentley and Rolls, it's cold diversifying your business.

Mercedes has numetous divisions but are known for setting the luxury and innovation standard
